THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE (2017)
As mentioned in my post on season one of this show, this is a series with a distinctive aesthetic and a love of architecture - especially where it can be used to represent chilly and impersonal beauty. Its glass towers and minimalist interiors can feel over-stylised, but they do embody an antiseptic elegance which is in line with the show’s themes. ( I can’t vouch for the quality of Season 2, which departs significantly in format and cast, as have only just started watching, but the aesthetic is unchanged.) (Photo by Vik Pahwa)
